The Final Report and End of Season Party 2008-2009

This is my last report for this season, it was an awesome year for snowmobiling. Around a hundred inches of snow fell on the North Shore. Even though we had a devastating ice storm near the end of the season, the March 31st/April 1st snow storm dropped a deep layer of wet sticky snow. The diehard sledders headed to the Grand Marais area for one last weekend ride and the Ugly Sweater Contest & End of Season Party @ The Landing / Devil Track Resort. The parking area was jambed with trucks and trailers full of snowmobiles and 37 competitors donned their ugliest sweaters; competition was fierce. There was; ugliest male, ugliest female, most outrageous, best 80s, and best drag. Thank you Chris and Em for putting on a great time!

I heard so many snowmobilers comment about how great the snow conditions were this final weekend. Even though trails were covered in deep snow and ungroomed, everyone was really happy with driving up the North Shore and riding one last weekend and watching us locals party in our ugly sweaters...

I'd like to thank everyone who submitted a trail report and everyone I met this season. I really appreciate your compliments, thanks again... c u next year!
